Senate Resolution Awarded to Kais Menoufy for Lifetime Achievements and Meritorious Service to Humanity

Sacramento, CA - February 11, 2010

- California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg presented long time community advocate Kais Menoufy with a distinguished Senate Resolution honoring his ‘lifetime achievements and meritorious service to humanity’.

“Kais is that rare example of what community leadership is all about,” stated Senator Steinberg. “He has a profound vision of what is needed to promote understanding and build lines of communication between community groups and then dedicates his energy and resources to make it happen. It’s an honor and privilege to know him.”

The Senate Resolution notes that Menoufy pioneered the establishment of three community initiatives: Building Bridges, Closing the Gap and Youth for Better Understanding, which promote education and diversity to establish a greater place for peace in the world.
