Delegata Receives Prestigious People Helping People Award

Sacramento, CA - April 22nd 2009

Delegata, a leading management and technology consulting firm, was honored to receive the “Exceptional Community Support” Award yesterday at the People Helping People Luncheon presented by Mayor Kevin Johnson, News 10 and the Community Services Planning Council. With over 500 attendees and esteemed business nominees such as Wells Fargo, UC Davis, VSP, Western Health Advantage and many more, Delegata received the award for “Exceptional Community Support” for their 40+ supported programs under Building Bridges and Closing the Gap.

Delegata participates in and sponsors many charitable activities as part of their overall company values and beliefs in reaching out and building unity in our community. Over 80% of Delegatans contribute to community projects and organizations.

Under the Building Bridges initiative, Delegata supports and initiates programs that promote the exchange of culture, knowledge and experience to establish a greater space for peace in our world. This includes financial and in-kind support for programs such as Call for Unity, Songs of Hope, Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival, Sacramento Youth Symphony, Student & Faculty Exchange Programs, the Interfaith Iftar and many more.

Delegata also established the Closing the Gap initiative which focuses on helping those in our community with limited resources to pursue a better future. Closing the Gap programs include Shifa Clinic, Project S.A.V.E., United Way Campaign, and the annual Delegata Holiday Giving Program that supports the Sacramento Children’s Home, Loaves & Fishes and the Sacramento Police Department.
