Former Police Chief Albert NÁjera Joins Delegata with Introduction to California State Leaders at Annual
CIO Academy

Sacramento, CA - March 02, 2009

Delegata, a leading management and technology consulting firm, announced the addition of former Sacramento Police Chief, Albert Nájera, to Delegata’s Senior Management Team. He was introduced in his new role as General Manager (GM) to over 300 California government leaders and Chief Information Officers (CIO’s) at the Annual CIO Academy held by eRepublic last week at the Sheraton Grand in California’s Capital City.

Albert joins Delegata with over 30 years of experience in government and public safety. He brings extensive leadership, management and hands-on experience in delivering innovative solutions and leading organization transformation efforts. As Sacramento’s Chief of Police and CEO of the Sacramento Police Department, Albert managed over 1200 employees, a $130 Million dollar annual budget, and a large full-service urban
police force.

Albert was selected by the US Department of Justice as one of only ten public safety executives deployed to New Orleans to assist in reorganizing in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. His leadership was also recognized nationally and internationally when he was appointed to the National Advisory Committee of the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) and asked to lead initiatives such as Public Safety Training for the Brazilian National Police and the South Africa Police Service.
