Come October, folks driving to Arco Arena or the airport will notice a new name atop one of South Natomas' most prominent buildings.
Delegata Corp., a fast-growing tech consulting firm, has just leased the second floor of the former EarthLink building at 2495 Natomas Park Drive. It also secured naming rights in the bargain.
The deal gives Delegata owner Kais Menoufy the marquee he's been seeking for his consulting firm -- and space for expansion.
"We're growing, we need a home," says Menoufy, who reports revenues this year will be about $15 million.
The company initially looked to buy a building downtown, near its current 20th-floor location in the Wells Fargo Center on Capitol Mall. Nothing was suitable, says Tom Walcott, a Grubb & Ellis senior VP who helped Delegata search for new space.
In selecting the six-story building adjacent to River City Bank's headquarters, Delegata is giving up its high-rise view. But it's getting spacious digs with its name spelled out on a 30-foot by 8-foot sign visible from the freeway. "The sign," Walcott says, "is everything."
