Collaboration in the State of California

At the recent “Best of California” event, Delegata brought together a group of their state agency clients as panelists to lead a discussion on “Collaboration and Shared Solutions.” Paving the way with strategic IT initiatives in the works, the panelists shared with attendees how they are creating strategies and developing applications with a foundation for future collaboration in mind. According to Clark Kelso, panel moderator and the Chief Information Officer for the State of California, “Collaboration across agencies will be key to California government making more effective use of technology to improve public access to services and information. The type of collaborative planning that we need doesn’t come naturally to any organization, and I’m delighted to participate in bringing together some of state government’s most important service providers to discuss current projects and future goals.” The positive response to the panel prompted Delegata to develop a larger 3-day collaboration conference called the “Diamond Circle” to take place in late March 2006.
