The Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival's mission is toshowcase the cultural diversity of the Sacramento region through the presentation of an ethnic dance festival for all ages, providing an educational and entertaining experience.

The two-day event kicks off with an Evening Showcase on Saturday, September 21st at the Memorial Auditorium.  There will be dazzling performances featuring the regions finest dance troupes and a rare act by Grammy-award-winning Native American flutist Mary Youngblood. Experience high energy, fancy footwork and flying leaps as performers showcase the native dances of Africa, China, Egypt, India, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Scotland, Spain and Ukraine.

Global Village in Old Sacramento
From 10:00AM - 5:00PM

From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, Old Sacramento will be transformed into a global village of dance, music and artistry with a series of free public shows and children's theatre performances. With fun-filled education in mind, the festival will provide an arena for youth and adults to experience cultural awareness through art, clothing, story-telling and dance workshops.
