David Nickel: Chief Operations Officer

Delegata’s Chief Operations Officer, David Nickel is managing all aspects of Delegata’s consulting practice. He is responsible for resource and client management as well as operational processes. With 20 years of experience in project management, business development, and consulting, David brings with him a solid track record of leading growing organizations.

As President of the ERP Solutions Division of MAXIMUS, Inc., David was accountable for all US customer and prospect accounts within the state and local government sector. He had P&L responsibility for the $46M business unit and won $140M in professional services awards over the period of three fiscal years. While he directed Vice Presidents and Directors in the execution of business plans and practice initiatives, he also managed the creation of a services delivery methodology and tool kit and actively participated in contract negotiations. David managed full-cycle systems implementations and upgrades with responsibility for overseeing multiple projects, deliverables and resources simultaneously.

David’s expertise includes program and project management, strategic and tactical project plans, thorough understanding of project financials including revenue recognition for products and services, strategic information systems plan development, solutions selection, business requirements definition, custom web-based application development, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) package configuration, post-implementation support, process optimization, and client relationship management. He has provided consulting services using industry-leading methodologies and standards such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). David brings attention to detail and intense focus on quality of delivery which has resulted in excellent client satisfaction and continued project delivery success.
